Welcome to Bayville
Surrounded by water, this small town was once used primarily for harvesting salt hay, converting oyster and clam shells into lime and asparagus farming. The farming industry died out as the community became a resort town with summer cottages, estates, and the Bayville Casino. The owner of the largest estate donated his stables to the village to be used as their village hall and library along with 28-acrea wooded preserve. The village has been incorporated since 1919.
